The new fire safety act has now become law, meaning any domestic building owners and/or landlords who have more than two domestic premises need to comply with legislation applicable to structure, external walls, doors, windows, and items such as balconies.
On a similar note, a new British Standard in building fire safety and construction safety is currently under review and will mean more responsibilities for clients and principal contractors too.
