Hazardous Material Surveying & Sampling
The Derisk Hazardous Materials team can help identify problematic materials on site. Our Consultants can ensure Clients understand the risks and have the correct approach to removal or management.
As part of construction and demolition projects, the use of hazardous substances within building materials and products can be overlooked as part of the overarching risk management process. The hazard presented by asbestos is more widely known but the use, as an example, of lead in paint may not be recognised as a potential hazard and subsequently not considered as part of a contractor’s risk assessment.
Our knowledgeable team can take samples, arrange for analysis and report their findings detailing recommendations and control measures to be applied. We will incorporate the inspection, data recording and reporting techniques employed by our UKAS accredited asbestos surveys into the work for hazard material surveying, to bring similar expertise and quality methodologies to the final reports.
We can provide data evaluation and recommendations for the control measures and safe working procedures on site during subsequent strip out, demolition or construction works based on the hazards and risks identified by the survey.
Our professionals have extensive experience of complex and multiple building assessments, providing a comprehensive report of the building status and any associated risks. We also offer a full project consultancy service for removal and management works.
By taking a proactive approach and surveying your building with Derisk, you can prevent discoveries and exposure concerns to staff and stakeholders.
